Ragtime is truly an American music that originated before the Great Depression. In the face of the current political and economic situation there have been many references to this period of time and to the first 100 days after President Franklin Roosevelt's inauguration and the “New Deal” he pledged and delivered to the American people. President Barack Obama has overcome enormous obstacles to get where he is today and yet he faces even bigger challenges. People around the world are celebrating the first black president and eagerly anticipating the events of the next days and months ahead.

New Release Chivaree's new 2008 release, "All the Time" is a mellifluous, sultry and sweet collection of heartfelt songs with a little funk thrown in. It is characterized once again by Lynne Hanson's compelling songwriting style and soulful, evocative voice. Her singing is reminiscent of Norah Jones and Alison Krauss, and she writes compelling lyrics and haunting melodies in the style of James Taylor.
